This time, we will be talking about the 2-month progress

of Ms. Jung Eun-ji, who previously underwent eye revision surgery with us!

Did you experience any swelling or discomfort after the surgery~?

Ms. Jung Eun-ji mentioned that because it was a revision surgery, her eyes swelled up quite a bit haha.

She also shared that she had a bit of a hard time because she developed chemosis (conjunctival swelling), likely due to having corner canthoplasty (lateral and lower canthoplasty) done at the same time haha.

However, when Dr. Shim Jung-hwan checked, he noted that the swelling wasn't actually that severe haha.

First of all, some swelling is inevitable in the early stages of surgery. As for chemosis, when corner canthoplasty (lateral and lower canthoplasty) is performed,

the blood vessels where lymph circulates can become temporarily blocked, which can cause transient conjunctival swelling.

Usually, this chemosis resolves quickly within 1 to 2 weeks!!

Ms. Jung Eun-ji says she is highly satisfied with the results!!

The doctor noted that the swelling has gone down significantly and the results are currently well-maintained and stable.

The initial heavy swelling right after surgery has subsided, and the intentionally overcorrected lateral and lower canthoplasty has also stabilized beautifully over time!!

Was there anything uncomfortable after the surgery?

After the surgery, Ms. Jung Eun-ji mentioned that a couple of milia (tiny white bumps) appeared on the epicanthoplasty area, which bothered her a little bit~

Milia frequently occur after epicanthoplasty.

They form when the pores where sebum is secreted are temporarily blocked by scar tissue.

Usually, during a follow-up visit, we can easily resolve this by gently popping them with a needle and squeezing them out like a pimple!!

If you were to rate the surgical results out of 100?

Ms. Jung Eun-ji mentioned that she would give it a 95

because of the remaining swelling ^^

Since the swelling will subside soon, it looks like it will become a perfect 100 haha.
