Dr. Seo Seungjo: I think functional issues have decreased a lot.

In the past, some people thought it was normal for the nose to be stuffy after rhinoplasty.

There were people who said, "Doesn't the nose get stuffy after surgery? It can't be helped, right?"

However, I think the plastic surgery market has now entered its maturation phase (technologically).

Because of this, I believe revision surgeries will gradually decrease, except for those due to dissatisfaction with the shape.

Q: From a patient's perspective, how can one avoid revision surgery?

Dr. Seo Seungjo: Do not decide everything on your own!

Because there is so much information available, there are cases where patients make unreasonable demands, and some even request specific materials or surgical methods.

However, if sufficient communication takes place, I believe the rate of revision surgeries will decrease.

Q: If I need a revision surgery, should I do it at the clinic where I had my first surgery? Or should I go to a different clinic?

Dr. Seo Seungjo: This varies depending on the patient's condition.

Cases where you shouldn't do it at the original clinic are when the clinic's style and your aesthetic standards are different,

or if they are too lacking technologically. In such cases, you should go to a different clinic ^^

These days, patients who visit often say, "I absolutely do not want to have a revision surgery."

They say this first.

To achieve that, first of all, good communication regarding the aesthetic shape is necessary.
