Today, we will review a lower eyelid fat repositioning case of a female in her 30s who is concerned about under-eye hollowness..

Before Surgery

Looking at the patient's under-eye condition before surgery, the aegyo-sal is relatively well-maintained, but

you can see that the under-eye fat is protruding forward right below the aegyo-sal.

Additionally, below that, the tear trough ligament area is hollowed out, creating a shadow.

Because of this,

✅The top is the aegyo-sal,

✅The middle is the protruding fat,

✅The bottom is the hollowed tear trough.

These three elements overlap, showing a typical under-eye aging pattern where the under-eye area appears divided into two lines.

This condition can make one look more tired than their actual age, or give off a dark and sunken impression.

Diagnosis and Surgical Method

Lower eyelid fat repositioning surgery does not simply remove the protruding fat;

it is a structural correction surgery that relocates and repositions the protruding fat into the hollowed areas.

Specifically,

✅By opening the tear trough ligament, the bulging under-eye fat is smoothly spread out into the hollowed areas,

✅which connects the overall under-eye line in a flat and natural way.

Through this method, while maintaining the volume of fat,

After Surgery

If you look at the appearance after surgery,

the natural shadow right below the aegyo-sal is maintained,
