A 30-year-old female patient visited us because her large and deep double eyelids looked unnatural,

and she wanted a revision surgery for a more natural shape.

The patient mentioned she had a non-incisional double eyelid surgery 10 years ago,

and to achieve more defined and larger double eyelids, she had an incisional double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty 5 years ago.

However, even now, 5 years later, her eyelids still feel thick and swollen,

the double eyelid lines appear kinked rather than a smooth curve,

and she was unhappy with the excessively thick and deep double eyelids.

She was curious if revision surgery was possible since the distance between her eyes and eyebrows is close,

and as this would be her third surgery, she was very cautious about choosing and deciding on a clinic.

Pre-operative Analysis

​

Both double eyelid lines look chubby and thick.

This is commonly referred to as a sausage line.

Also, when she opens her eyes, the double eyelids fold deeply inward, creating a deep crease,

making the upper eyelid skin appear rather saggy.

When she closes her eyes, the bumpy scars on the double eyelid lines are clearly visible.

However, she can close her eyes well, and there does not seem to be a lack of excess skin.

Diagnosis and Surgery

The surgery performed was an incisional double eyelid revision to lower the line and change the fixation.

The inner line was lowered further to create a natural in-out line.

Using the remaining fat tissue in the upper eyelid, the deep double eyelid fixation was changed to a natural fixation.

7 Days Post-op

There is still some swelling, but the lower and naturally curved double eyelids are clearly visible compared to before.

As the thick, large double eyelids above the eyes disappeared, the pupils actually look larger and more defined.

11 Months Post-op

The swelling has completely subsided.

Compared to before the surgery, the double eyelids have become natural and have a smooth curved shape.

The size of the line has decreased, and the chubby, swollen feeling has also improved.

Now that the deeply indented double eyelid line has been corrected to a natural appearance,

the space between the eyes and eyebrows actually feels wider and more refreshing.

When the eyes are closed, although the previous scars have not completely disappeared,

you can see that the bumpiness has significantly improved.

The surgical result was very good.
