Adding canthoplasty does not make the swelling significantly worse.

However, during lateral and lower canthoplasty, the lower eyelid or conjunctiva may swell, so you can expect the swollen area to be slightly broader.

The swelling from lateral and lower canthoplasty subsides much faster than double eyelid swelling, and it becomes natural more quickly.
