Generally, regardless of the area, thick skin tends to scar more easily and has a higher probability of developing hypertrophic or keloid scars.

Therefore, between someone with thick skin and someone with thin skin, the person with thick skin is more prone to scarring.

When performing lower canthoplasty alone, the surgery is done by making an incision on the inner conjunctiva rather than the outer skin,

so there will be no visible external scarring.
