What are sausage double eyelids?

Sausage double eyelids refer to thick double eyelid lines

that look as if the surgery was recently done and the swelling hasn't subsided.

Because the double eyelid line is so thick,

they are commonly called sausage double eyelids.

What causes sausage double eyelids?

​

The first cause is when the line is set too high

without considering the thickness of the skin.

The second is when the line is fixed and adheres

at a position that is either too high or too low.

​

In the second case, the eyelashes may appear lifted,

or the double eyelids may look droopy as if they have come undone.

​

The third cause of sausage double eyelids

is when the size of the eyes and the strength of the eye-opening muscles

are not taken into consideration at all.

The fourth cause is largely subjective.
