What is the criteria for choosing between the non-incisional (suture) and incisional methods for revision surgery?

​

The non-incisional method is possible when

there is only skin sagging and the line can be adjusted,

or when correcting asymmetry by matching the line

to the higher side.

​

The incisional method is necessary when

the line needs to be lowered,

or if the double eyelid has come undone due to thick skin.

Does revision for sausage eyelids always have to be done with the incisional method?

​

If you have sausage eyelids,

revision surgery is mostly performed using the incisional method.

Occasionally, if there is no fat in the eyelids and the sausage eyelid

looks like multiple folds, in such cases,

revision can also be done using the non-incisional method.

When lowering the double eyelid line, is the two-line incision method absolutely necessary?

​

This depends on the skin.

If there is enough excess skin, it is performed after skin excision,

and if there is a lack of excess skin, the two-line incision method is used.

​

I can't close my eyes after eye revision surgery. What should I do?

​

There can be several reasons why

the eyes do not close after surgery.

It could be due to swelling, or

the orbicularis oculi muscle may have been damaged during surgery,

causing a temporary decrease in the strength to close the eyes.

​

​

Most cases resolve during the recovery process,

but if not, it might be a case where ptosis correction was overcorrected.

​

In such cases, it is best to monitor the progress

and then undergo re-correction.

​

I want to raise my double eyelid line a bit more. Which surgery is more suitable: double eyelid revision or a forehead lift?

​

If you want to raise your double eyelid line,

please check the following conditions.

​

If there is enough distance between the eyes and eyebrows,

or if the existing line is too low for your eyes,

we recommend double eyelid revision surgery.

​

If the line is high but looks covered,

or if the distance between the eyes and eyebrows appears narrow,

we recommend a forehead lift.

it is better to undergo re-correction by making incisions on both sides again.
