[Weverse Daily Life] A Small Gift for Our Staff

Every year for the Lunar New Year holiday,

we prepare a small gift for our hardworking staff.

Between Starbucks gift cards and Olive Young gift cards,

we prepared the most popular choice: Olive Young gift cards.

​

It's not a huge amount,

but we hope it helps them buy

the things they want and need.

​

A while ago, the director

brought in handmade cookies and shared them with us^^

He mentioned they were return gifts prepared for a family event,

and he thoughtfully brought enough for every staff member.

The outer wrapping was made of traditional Hanji paper,

and it was so beautiful that it felt like a shame to tear it open..

I remember the size being about the size of a cup noodle bowl.

Since we were exhausted from the busy season,

we really needed a sugar recharge, and these sweet cookies came at the perfect time🤗

​

I was curious about what was inside and wanted to try them quickly,

so I just took a quick proof shot and opened the package right away.

It was truly packed with so many different kinds of cookies.

There was a piece of paper with a cute rabbit drawn on it,

and when I looked closely, it was a sticker.

If it had just been handmade cookies, it might have felt a bit plain,

so this thoughtful detail was really touching ㅠ

Since one of our staff members loves decorating their planner,

I gave the rabbit sticker to them to use for decorating later.☺️

Among the cookies, there was one shaped like a baby, so I took a closer look.

Isn't it so cute?

I tasted it, and it had a subtle cheese flavor.

It was a mix of cheese and sweetness,

and that unique taste is something I think I'll keep craving.

This was the largest cookie among them all.

It was chocolate-flavored and even had gold flakes on top,

which made it feel very luxurious.

​

Usually, these types of snacks tend to be dry,

but this one was moist and had almonds inside, so the texture was fun and enjoyable.

​

I usually avoid things that are too sweet for health reasons,

but the highlight of this cookie was that it wasn't overly sweet despite being chocolate-flavored.

The most delicious cookie out of the bunch :)

I remember there being three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and almond,

and they were surprisingly softer than expected.

​

The sweetness was just right and they were so delicious

that I was actually sad they were so small,

and I feel like I'll keep thinking about them next time.

​

Thanks to the staff who shared such delicious treats with us,

everyone was able to have an energetic day.

​

No matter how hard things get, getting a little boost of energy like this

makes us want to work even harder.
