Surgical Areas

​

Q: Which areas did you have surgery on?

A: I had revision eye surgery, rhinoplasty, and fillers.

​

For the revision eye surgery, I had incisional double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, and lower canthoplasty.

For the nose, I had open rhinoplasty, bulbous nose correction, hump reduction (osteotomy), and columella correction.

For the filler, I received 1cc of chin filler to correct a receding chin.

​

What were your concerns regarding your eyes?

Q: What were your concerns regarding your eyes?

A: I was concerned because my double eyelid lines were too thin and the epicanthal folds hadn't improved.

​

I wanted to improve my eyes to have a more glamorous line with an open inner corner.

When I consulted with the doctor, he suggested it would be best to redefine the eye line and open up the front, so we decided to proceed with that plan.

​

Q: Do you have a desired eye shape?

A: I want my eyes to be natural yet large.

​

For the eyes, he said he would create a line at about 8.5mm using the incisional method, remove a little bit of skin, and since the muscle strength to open the eyes is slightly weak,

a mild ptosis correction should be done together.

He mentioned that this would make the pupils and the eyelid lines much clearer.

The slight hollowness above the eyes will naturally fill in once the line is set and the eye shape is slightly corrected.

Because of the epicanthal folds, the front line is somewhat covered, making the overall shape look a bit stuffy,

so he said doing an epicanthoplasty to open it up will result in an in-out fold line.😀

What were your concerns regarding your nose?

Q: What were your concerns regarding your nose?

A: I'm concerned about my nose being wide and having a low bridge.

​

Because my nose is wide and the bridge is low, my mother used to pinch my nose with a clip since I was young.

I thought it might improve, but it didn't, and I've kept this nose shape, which has been a concern.

​

Q: How do you want your nose to change?

A: I want a slim and high nose like Winter's.

​

When I told the doctor, he recommended a straight-curve (jik-ban) line.

Since your nasal skin is on the thicker side, it would be great to raise it as much as possible, but it will have a slightly plumper feel compared to Winter's nose.

Because the skin is thick and the bulbous feeling is strong, we will angle it slightly more upward than it is now, perform bulbous nose correction on the nasal tip,

and use a little bit of ear cartilage.

Also, since the nasal bones are quite wide, we will perform an osteotomy to make it look slimmer from the front.

You also decided to get chin fillers..?

Q: Why did you decide to get chin fillers?

A: I was concerned that my chin looked a bit blunt.

​

I want my chin to be slimmer and change into more of a V-line.

​

Q: There are also chin implants, so is there a reason you chose fillers?

A: My older sister got an implant, but it looked too unnatural.

​

My sister got an implant and it looked so unnatural. She seems satisfied with it, but when our family looks at it,

it looks a bit unnatural, so I chose to go with fillers.

​

You have a slight receding chin, so for the side profile to look pretty, the nose needs to be prominent

and the chin also needs to project slightly forward. So for that part, we will use about 1cc of chin filler

to bring the tip of the chin slightly forward and make it more defined.

​

How was the consultation with the doctor? How do you feel with the surgery coming up soon?

Q: How was the consultation with the doctor?

A: The doctor was incredibly kind, and he honestly told me what wouldn't work instead of sugarcoating it,

which made me trust him even more.

​

What do you think is the most important factor when choosing a clinic?

I value trust with the doctor the most, so I think that's what I consider most important when looking at clinics.

​

Q: The surgery is coming up soon, how do you feel right now?

A: I'm so nervous and excited.

​

I'm so curious about how I'll change after the surgery!
