Hello,
💙your beauty universe! This is Uber Plastic Surgery :)💙

Today, we brought a video about
upper blepharoplasty and sub-brow lift explained by Dr. Park Sun-hee~!!

As people age, where does aging become noticeably visible first?
The most visible place is, of course, the face.
Among the facial features, the eyes are the area that many people worry about the most.
Whether you had double eyelids when you were young or not, sagging eyelids can make you look older than your actual age,
make you look tired, and even those who used to have large eyes may find their eyes looking smaller and somewhat heavy.
Today, we will take the time to explore methods to resolve sagging eyelids,
a concern that keeps many middle-aged individuals awake at night.
What are the methods to improve sagging eyes?

Those in their 40s, 50s, and older may have seen people around them who, after worrying about sagging eyes, visited a plastic surgery clinic and underwent surgery,
but while the sagging seemed to improve, their impression somehow became fierce,
and they looked as if they were glaring.
This phenomenon occurs because the surgery was performed with an incorrect diagnosis and an inappropriate surgical method.
While plastic surgery must improve functional aspects,
aesthetic aspects must also be considered very importantly when undergoing surgery.
First of all, those who intend to get double eyelid surgery simply to improve sagging eyelids must be careful.
Double eyelid surgery is a procedure that creates a crease in the eyelid when opening the eyes.
Of course, if performed using the incisional method, the excess eyelid skin is excised during the surgery,
so you might think that sagging eyelids can be improved.
However, depending on the case, this may or may not be suitable for you.
If the degree of sagging is not severe, you can see results with just double eyelid surgery,
but usually, middle-aged patients who visit the clinic come after holding out for a long time,
so we recommend an appropriate surgical method considering various overall factors.
First, the first surgical method is Upper Blepharoplasty.
What is Upper Blepharoplasty?

Upper blepharoplasty is a method that removes and organizes this stretched skin and various tissues,
and neatly refines them into your original double eyelid line or a line that suits your eyes.
At this time, for those whose eyes look sunken due to a lack of fat in the eyelids,
we can provide a younger and brighter impression through upper eyelid fat grafting or fat repositioning.
For those who originally had double eyelids, we use their own double eyelid line, and for those who did not, as mentioned earlier,
we design and create a new line that suits them so they don't end up with glaring eyes.
If you do not want double eyelids, how should the surgery be performed?
The issue can be resolved through the Sub-brow Lift, which we will explain right now.
What is a Sub-brow Lift?

A lift means pulling something upwards,
but since the word "sub-brow" is attached to the front, just as the name suggests,
it is a method of pulling and fixing the sagging eyelids from under the eyebrows.
This surgery is a method to improve eyelid sagging without creating double eyelids.
It involves making an incision under the eyebrow, removing the skin, and pulling it upwards against gravity to fix it in place.
Many men who do not want double eyelids undergo this surgery,
and among women, those who already have double eyelids or desire a natural eye shape primarily receive it.
In the past, the surgery was often performed by simply cutting and suturing the skin under the eyebrows,
which resulted in the distance between the eyes and eyebrows becoming too close, creating a somewhat heavy impression,
or causing problems such as the eyelids sagging again just a few months after the surgery.
Currently, even when performing a sub-brow lift, we use a method of firmly fixing the underlying
eyelid tissue to the forehead muscles and periosteum in the eyebrow area.
As a result, the surgical effects are maintained much longer and show excellent results.
Are there any surgeries that are good to receive together additionally?

The area that most greatly influences a person's first impression is the eyes, right?
Usually, whether you have double eyelids or not, what kind of line it is if you do, and the size of the eyes—these aspects
are thought to determine one's impression, but there is one more factor to consider here.
That is the distance between the eyes and the eyebrows. If they become too close, the impression looks stronger,
and if they are too far apart, it can look a bit sleepy and heavy.
Before performing the upper blepharoplasty and sub-brow lift mentioned earlier,
it is necessary to consider whether the distance between the eyes and eyebrows will become excessively close after the surgery.
During the design process, we can infer these aspects based on various clinical experiences.
If it is deemed difficult to achieve improvement in eyelid sagging or a bright impression with upper blepharoplasty or a sub-brow lift,
we sometimes recommend a forehead lift.
A forehead lift is a surgery where a micro-incision is made inside the hairline, and the muscles and skin of the forehead and eyebrows are pulled upwards.
Because this surgery eliminates forehead wrinkles while simultaneously raising the sagging eyebrows back to their original position,
it is a highly effective surgery that allows adjusting the position of the eyebrows and the size of the double eyelids to fit your facial proportions.
The second is upper eyelid micro-fat grafting.
A portion of fat is harvested from your abdomen or thighs, processed into micro-fat for injection,
and grafted into the sunken areas of the eyelids.
As we age, the fat tissue above the eyes also atrophies and changes into a sunken shape.
If this area is filled with your own autologous fat in the exact location, it can create a much younger-looking eye shape.
Today, we learned about upper blepharoplasty and sub-brow lift as methods to resolve sagging eyes,
and also explored forehead lifts and upper eyelid fat grafting together.
Next time, we will return with even more informative content😍
