Hello~
๐Your beauty universe! This is Weverse Plastic Surgery :)๐

At our plastic surgery clinic, there are times when we advise patients
against getting surgery.
โ
To be exact, these are situations where surgery is 'put on hold'.
โ
Shall we find out why getting plastic surgery
isn't always the answer?

The first case is when the tissue condition
is not healthy enough to undergo surgery.
โ
Even if it looks possible externally,
if the skin is excessively thin or thick,
โ
or if the tissues have not yet fully recovered,
the post-operative results may fall outside the predictable range.
โ
If surgery is forced under these conditions, the likelihood of scarring,
delayed recovery, and asymmetry increases.
โ
In such cases, stabilizing the skin and tissues
before surgery is more important than anything else.
โ

The second case is when the gap between the expected changes
and the actually possible changes is too large.
โ
Because each face has a different anatomical structure,
not everyone can change into the exact same shape.
โ
If the desired image greatly exceeds the limits
of the current bone structure or soft tissues,
satisfaction may be low even after multiple surgeries.
โ
In these situations, we first accurately explain the possible range
and limitations to the patient,
and we do not recommend pushing for an unreasonable surgery.
โ

The third case is when the patient is not in a situation to properly manage their recovery.
The success of a surgery depends more on 'after the surgery' than the 'surgery itself'.
โ
However, if it is difficult to secure a recovery period
due to studies, work, or childcare,
swelling may last longer or the results may not settle beautifully.
โ
In such cases, adjusting the schedule
to secure enough free time is the best option.
โ

Lastly, it is when the patient is already
in a sufficiently natural and harmonious state.
โ
Often, the complex the patient feels
is actually just a minor asymmetry
or a slight difference in volume.
โ
From a specialist's perspective and judgment,
if the changes gained from surgery are minimal,
โ
or if a minor change could ruin the harmony of the facial features
or the overall face,
it may be better to postpone the surgery or opt for future maintenance instead.

Ultimately, I believe the role of a plastic surgeon
is not simply 'someone who performs surgery',
but someone who helps find the most helpful choice for you right now.
โ
Finally,
I sincerely want to tell you that sometimes 'not doing' surgery
produces better results than doing it.
