The face is the part of the body that best shows the traces of time!
As we age, the skin loses its elasticity,
and the areas around the eyes, cheeks, mouth, and chin sag, making the lower face look wider and older.
Skin elasticity usually begins to decrease in the late 20s, and aging begins in earnest from the mid-30s.
In particular, nasolabial folds deepen, fine lines appear around the glabella and eyes, and facial elasticity noticeably decreases.
This facial sagging can be improved with laser lifting, thread lifting, or facelifts.
Among them, as effective methods without surgery,
laser lifting and thread lifting are very popular because they can be performed simply
without general anesthesia or incision pain.
Today, let's compare thread lifting and laser lifting.
Thread Lifting VS Laser Lifting

Recently, many people are getting thread lifting and laser lifting.
While there are certainly similarities, I believe these two lifting procedures are distinct treatments with clear pros and cons.
✔ Commonality: Increases elasticity through increased blood flow to tissues and collagen production.
✔ Difference: Can you pull the sagging area in the direction you want?
Both undergo a process of scar formation ▶ elastic tissue creation through stimulation from the deep dermal layer to the fat layer.
During scar formation, slight contraction occurs in the tissue, so you may feel a reduction in volume.
Also, the production of elastic tissue increases, making the skin look more resilient.
For this reason, thread lifting without cogs is also often performed.
However, many feel this alone is insufficient and seek thread lifting that allows them to "directly pull in the desired direction."
Thread Lifting
Pros: You can move the tissue in the direction you want. It is very simple compared to a facelift.
Cons: Results vary depending on the practitioner's skill.
Laser Lifting
Pros: Less variation depending on the practitioner.
Cons: Tissue movement is impossible.
The stronger the laser lifting is performed, the more scar tissue is formed,
so it is not uncommon to see reviews of severe bruising after a strong procedure to achieve noticeable effects.
Does inserting more threads mean a longer maintenance period?

I explain it to patients as 3, 6, 12.
3 months: The elasticity effect from collagen production is greater than the degree to which the thread's strength weakens, so the effect is well maintained.
6 months: This is known as the time it takes for the most commonly used melting threads (PDO component) to be absorbed.
Up to 6 months, there may be individual differences depending on the force of the thread's cogs holding the tissue and the amount of collagen produced.
12 months: After 6 months, I believe the effect mostly weakens. There are individual differences, but I perform the procedure considering a maximum of 1 year.
As the number of inserted threads increases, the force applied to the tissue can be seen as proportional. Greater effects and early recurrence can be prevented, but the duration does not increase proportionally.
Our clinic avoids an excessive number of threads and strives to achieve maximum effects with a small number through precise procedures.
Types and Pros/Cons of Recently Popular Thread Lifts

Recently, melting threads account for the majority of thread lifts rather than non-melting threads.
Mint Thread
Characterized by spiral 360-degree cogs, it can bite into tissue from all directions, achieving strong fixation and scar formation.
V-Seal
It has many hard cogs, making it suitable for strongly pulling up tissue.
It pulls up sagging side cheek fat (marionette lines) around the mouth and the jawline,
and because the cogs are bidirectional, it also has the effect of gathering tissue toward the center.
Silhouette Soft
Unlike regular melting thread components (PDO), it consists of PLLA threads + PLGA cones.
PLLA promotes collagen synthesis (the main component of Sculptra) and is known to have a longer maintenance period than PDO,
and PLGA promotes fibroblast activity, similarly providing a tightening effect.
The thread is relatively long, so it can cover a wide area from the cheekbones to around the chin.
Elasticum (Italy)
Made so the thread can stretch according to facial muscle movements, emphasizing elasticity; it is a non-melting thread.
Peach Thread
Unlike other PDO component threads, its thickness, length, and degree of cogs are adjusted, making it suitable for the front cheekbones and nasolabial folds.
It is a thread design that minimizes the widening of the cheekbones and produces natural effects, and it is our clinic's exclusive thread for Peach Lifting.
What is Peach Lifting?

If cheek fat invades the malar eminence, the face can look wider to the sides.
General thread lifting pulls up the lower cheek tissue significantly, making it easy to invade the malar eminence area.
Peach Lifting focuses on creating a youthful face by emphasizing only the front cheeks while minimizing the widening of the face.
The Peach Lifting performed at our clinic focuses on improving nasolabial folds and front cheek volume.
By utilizing the vertical direction to the maximum, it appropriately pulls up the sagging front cheek tissue to fill in volume and simultaneously improves nasolabial folds.
Therefore, I think it is optimal to perform it from the late 20s when aging begins, such as when non-existent nasolabial folds appear or cheeks seem to gradually sag.
Changes in the side cheeks (marionette lines) inevitably come along, but the effect on the side cheeks is limited with Peach Lifting alone.
To solve this problem, we explain to patients how to achieve the best results by combining other threads.
The most frequently used combination at our clinic is Peach + Silhouette Soft.
In addition, if volume is too lacking and there is no flesh to move, fat grafting or fillers can be considered, and conversely, if volume is excessive and difficult to pull with threads alone, liposuction can be considered.
