Today, I would like to review a rhinoplasty case.

Before Surgery

This patient had a history of receiving nose filler treatments a total of 3 times in the past,

with the last filler procedure done about 2 years ago.

From the front, the entire nose was deviated to the left,

and from the side, there was a dorsal hump with a drooping nasal tip,

which caused her a lot of stress.

​

✅ The nasal bridge itself was not on the low side.

✅ The axis (line) of the nose was misaligned, reducing overall facial harmony.

✅ The patient's main request: A natural and smooth straight-curve (jik-ban) line.

​

In other words, rather than a drastic change, achieving refined proportions and line correction was the core goal of this case.

​

Diagnosis and Surgical Plan

In this patient's case,

the volume of the nasal bridge itself was sufficient, but the glabella (between the eyebrows) was sunken,

and the asymmetrical nose line was the biggest issue.

​

1) Nasal Bridge Design

✅ Designed a minimal-range silicone implant centered around the glabella.

✅ Finely adjusted the height so the forehead, glabella, and nasal bridge connect naturally.

✅ Adjusted the line so the forehead bone does not appear overly prominent.

​

2) Nasal Tip Correction

The tip had a 'bulbous' feel and drooped downwards, giving a heavy impression from both the front and side.

👉 Improved the drooping using septal and ear cartilage.

​

​

In short, rather than simply "raising" the nose, the focus was on correcting the structure to create a natural and stable shape.

After Surgery

The biggest change in this case is that the frontal improvement is very distinct.

​

​

[Before Surgery]

✅ The drooping nasal tip made the nose look large.

✅ The nose deviated to the left, making frontal asymmetry prominent.

​

[After Surgery]

✅ The axis of the nose was straightened, greatly improving harmony with the facial midline.

✅ As the drooping tip was resolved, the overall facial width and proportions appear slimmer.

✅ From the side, the hump was corrected and the sunken glabella was resolved, completing a smooth straight-curve line.

As a result,

✔ The three-dimensional volume of the face was brought to life,

✔ The proportions became much more refined, and

✔ The natural feeling of a 'nose that looks like it was originally mine' was enhanced.
