The first question is a comment left by a subscriber

who is worried that the shape of their nasal tip is not maintained even after revision surgery~

The answer to this question is that the surgery just needs to be done well!

In rhinoplasty, the strength and direction of the strut graft,

and harmony with the skin condition are very important.

Everyone's nasal tip droops when they smile!

At this time, there are people whose nasal tip droops a lot

and people whose tip droops less.

Depending on that, under a precise diagnosis,

the surgery is performed slightly differently in terms of the direction or strength of the strut graft.

If the surgery is done too strongly at this time,

the nasal tip may not move, which can be uncomfortable!

The second question is related to columella surgery.

You were wondering if columellaplasty and a columellar strut graft

are the same surgery!

The columella is the pillar of the nose.

Common problems include a drooping columella or

one that goes inward, making it look like a so-called pig nose.

Correcting that shape is called columellaplasty,

and in the case of a columellar strut graft, it has a

very close relationship with a septal extension graft.

Usually, to raise the nose significantly,

a septal extension graft is performed.

If the septum is insufficient

but the patient wants surgery using only autologous tissue,

a columellar strut graft is incorporated.

Because this surgical method involves less of the hard part of the septum

and more of the soft part of the ear cartilage,

the nasal tip can be somewhat softer.

The third question is about a dorsal hump nose!

If a nose that is high but has a slightly bumpy hump

is only shaved down, the nose will completely sink,

which can make it look like a 'saddle nose'

with a depression on the bridge like a horse saddle.

In this case, shaving it down appropriately and inserting

autologous cartilage into the upper and lower parts of the hump

Because Dr. Seo Seung-jo has a weak chin,

his opinion is that rather than rhinoplasty, it would be better to

add volume with a chin implant, chin filler,

The fifth question is about reducing a bulbous nasal tip.

Bulbous nasal tip reduction is bulbous nose surgery.

You can make the nasal tip smaller just by alar reduction

through cartilage tying and fat removal,

but this is usually limited to foreigners with thin skin.

For Koreans with thick skin on the nasal tip,
