Does swelling last longer with the incisional method?

This is true to some extent. Because the surgery time is longer than the non-incisional double eyelid surgery,

and there is much more manipulation of the eyelid skin.

First of all, the non-incisional method has no external stitches, whereas the incisional method does have stitches.

However, even with the non-incisional method, swelling lasts longer if the double eyelid fold is large, and even with the incisional method, swelling subsides quickly if the fold is small.

Ultimately, this means that the rate at which swelling subsides is not determined solely by the surgical method.

Perhaps it is because I am getting older, but time seems to fly by so quickly these days.

For you as well, time will continue to pass after your surgery.

At one to two weeks post-op, there may be a significant difference in swelling between someone who had the incisional method and someone who had the non-incisional method,

but after a month or two, the difference in swelling between the two will not be significant.
