Q: When can I exercise after rhinoplasty?

​

Once your condition improves, light walks are possible,

but high-intensity exercise is only allowed after at least one month!

​

Q: Why shouldn't I do high-intensity exercise?

​

If you exert a lot of force, you tend to frown or strain, which can cause the materials in your nose to shift.

Also, as your blood pressure rises or blood rushes to your nose, bleeding may occur again.

Therefore, it is best to refrain from high-intensity exercise in the early stages!

Q: My nasal tip is throbbing and painful.

​

If this happens in the early stages of surgery, you can consider it a normal reaction.

However, if a lot of time has passed and your nasal tip is still throbbing and painful, we recommend visiting the clinic for an examination.

Q: I removed the splint, but my nose looks upturned.

​

When there is swelling, the nostrils naturally tend to look more visible, and because the skin hasn't stretched enough yet,

this is a very common phenomenon up to the first week!

Q: How much does the nose look upturned in the early stages of surgery?

​

If the nose was designed to be on the shorter side, it might look quite upturned, almost like a piggy nose.

If you prefer a longer nose and it was designed that way, it might look just fine at first glance.

However, patients often feel that even this is slightly upturned, but this aspect will improve as time passes!

Q: When can I drink alcohol and smoke after rhinoplasty?

​

Alcohol and smoking are strictly prohibited for about 1 month!

Drinking alcohol slows down wound healing and lowers your immunity, which slightly increases the risk of being unable to control early-stage inflammation.

Smoking is particularly bad. Good blood circulation is necessary to heal minor inflammation

and speed up recovery, but smoking constricts blood vessels and hinders the healing process.

Q: I laughed too hard after rhinoplasty, is that okay?

Laughing out loud once or twice is not a problem, but it is best to avoid putting too much strain on your face during the first month.

Q: When can I get other aesthetic procedures after rhinoplasty?

​

Lifting procedures or fillers are possible after 1 month when the swelling has somewhat subsided!

For lifting procedures close to the nose, it is recommended to wait at least 1 to 2 months!

Q: When can I get nasolabial fold fillers?

​

Due to nasal swelling, your nasolabial folds might look less prominent, or if you have a lot of swelling in your cheeks, the folds might look more severe.

This could lead to injecting more filler than necessary,

so it is recommended to get them after about a month when the major swelling has subsided.

Q: When can I blow my nose after rhinoplasty?

​

After rhinoplasty, the nasal mucosa is swollen and sensitive, so you might have a runny nose for about 2 to 3 months.

Therefore, you should be careful and avoid blowing your nose forcefully for about 2 weeks to 1 month!

Q: Is it okay if my nose gets pressed or bumped after surgery?

If there are no significant changes on the surface, there shouldn't be a problem.

However, if you bump it too hard, it could break inside or blood could pool up.

If there is an issue, it will be immediately noticeable!
