Can alar reduction alone make the nose look higher?

A: When viewed from below, the shape of the nose is an isosceles triangle.

Alar reduction surgery reduces the alar by excising the outer skin and suturing it, or by tying and pulling it with threads from the inside.

When this happens, even if the nasal tip is not directly elevated, the length of the base becomes shorter,

which changes the proportions and creates the effect of a higher nasal tip.
