Hello~
๐Your beauty universe! This is Weverse Plastic Surgery :)๐

3 Rhinoplasties
After their first revision rhinoplasty, the patient's nose became so excessively high that it was unnaturally uncomfortable for daily life.
Due to comments from people around them saying the nose shape looked awkward, this patient decided to undergo a third rhinoplasty.
It has now been 3 months since their secondary revision (3rd) rhinoplasty.
โ
Right after the surgery, there were concerns that the nasal tip hadn't been lowered enough and might look slightly upturned, but
since it is important to consider facial expressions and muscle movements when smiling,
we proceeded with the secondary revision rhinoplasty in a way that avoided excessively lowering the nasal tip from the beginning.
โ
Because the patient had a muscle type where the nasal tip pulls up significantly when smiling,
lowering the nose too much could have resulted in an unnatural, droopy 'Squidward-like' appearance.
We proceeded with the surgery taking this into consideration, and fortunately, the patient was very satisfied with the results.
โ

Both Korean and Japanese patients tend to have a lot of concerns regarding implants,
and they frequently ask, "Don't they need to be replaced every 10 years?"
โ
However, in rhinoplasty, the area where problems usually arise first is not the nasal bridge, but the nasal tip.
The core of nasal tip surgery is not simply about raising or lowering it,
but rather creating a 'comfortable structure' where the silicone implant can settle stably.
โ
This is also the reason why autologous cartilage (autologous rib) is widely used in rhinoplasty.
By creating a stable support structure for the nasal tip using autologous tissue,
the silicone implant will not shift and can be comfortably maintained even when smiling or making facial expressions.
โ
This is a photo of the patient taken immediately after their previous rhinoplasty at another clinic.
Originally, the nasal tip was not in a severely drooping state,
and you can see that it didn't look excessively high or overly projected right after the surgery.
There was also no pinched appearance.
โ
However, as time passed, the nasal tip support weakened and sagged,
causing the nasal tip to look pinched, which ultimately led to the situation where they needed a secondary revision rhinoplasty at our clinic.
โ
Because we sufficiently reinforced the weak support structure with autologous rib cartilage during this surgery,
we explained to the patient that they no longer need to worry much about this issue.
โ
Will the nasal tip drop further?

You might feel that the nasal tip has lowered slightly compared to right after the surgery, but this is not a severe drooping of the tip;
rather, because the force acting towards the nasolabial angle when smiling is strong,
people with stronger facial muscle forces when smiling may show this change more noticeably.
โ
The aspect we paid the most attention to during the 3rd rhinoplasty

The part we focused on the most during the surgery was ensuring the nose didn't look upturned,
while also making sure it didn't look too long by lowering it.
โ
If we only focused on lowering the nose, it could easily result in an unnatural appearance,
so we had to be extremely careful with that aspect during the procedure.
โ
Fortunately, the surgery was successful. Since the patient traveled all the way from Japan,
we paid a lot of attention to providing the most satisfactory result possible with this single surgery,
and it led to a great outcome, which brought peace of mind to all of us here at Weverse.๐
โ
Because the medical team's judgment of a successful surgery doesn't always perfectly align with the patient's satisfaction,
we consider fulfilling the patient's needs to be the most important priority.
We are so relieved and glad to see the patient satisfied,
and we are thrilled that it concluded successfully.
We wish the patient happiness always.๐
