Hello~
๐ซถYour beauty universe! This is Uber Plastic Surgery.๐ซถ

Lifting is a hot topic these days๐ฅ
โ
Today,
'Rather than getting a facelift or laser treatments,
getting a thread lift is much more effective.'
I would like to talk about this topic.
โ
The most important thing is
๐facial volume๐.
โ
If you get a facelift, out of all lifting methods,
it can definitely pull up the volume the most securely.

However, if the cheeks have sagged significantly downwards,
pulling them up with a facelift can be considered cost-effective,
โ
but honestly, if they haven't sagged that much,
you can't really do a facelift.
โ
But that doesn't mean laser lifting alone will be
effective in many of these cases, right?
โ
What kind of cases are those?
โ
Let's assume there is a lot of volume in the facial tissues,
but it is sagging more than expected.
The age is roughly in the 30s to 40s.
โ
Actually, it is a bit too early
for a facelift, so in reality, for these cases,
I tend to highly recommend a thread lift over a facelift.
When doing a thread lift, the most important thing is
'volume.'
There must be volume to pull up.

When you think only the skin is sagging,
I think it is actually much better to provide elasticity
to the skin through a lifting laser.
โ
However,
โ๏ธif the volume is sagging and
โ๏ธthere are sunken areas to fill by moving that volume,
โ
those are the cases where
โ๏ธa thread lift is most recommended.
โ
First, let's divide the thread lifting areas into two parts.
1. Above the cheekbone
2. Below the cheekbone

The area pointed to by the hand in the photo is
the front cheekbone area,

and the side cheek area.
โ
When pulling up the front cheek,
for those who have too little volume in this area,
pulling it up won't have much of a significant effect.

Is it completely ineffective? No.
Even if there is no volume in the front cheekbone,
โ
if you gently place your finger on the cheekbone and pull,
and it feels okay, then
we consider volume improvement possible with a thread lift.

Next, if there is a little volume around the nasolabial folds,
we can move the dropped volume upwards
to fill the sunken areas in the front cheeks.
โ
In such cases, we also see that it can be effectively improved with a thread lift,
and pulling up sagging volume upwards is actually
something that cannot be done with lifting lasers.
โ
In the case of Ultherapy, the most representative lifting laser,
it certainly tightens the skin, but it doesn't give the feeling of pulling it up.
โ
Skin tightening can give the illusion of being pulled up,
but because it is not actually physically pulling it up,
โ
if it is truly sagging and there is empty space to fill
by moving the sunken volume,
it is better to do a thread lift.
โ
Looking at the long term, the effect lasts about a year and a half.
โ
It varies slightly depending on the type of thread, but actually, like laser lifting,
it is good to get thread lifts periodically.

This is the actual thread used in a thread lift.
If you think about pulling up the side cheeks with these barbed threads,
we insert them like this starting from the sideburn area.
When inserted, hooked, and pulled, one of the cones catches.
โ
Then the cones catch on the upper side as well,
and with the cones catching on both the top and bottom,
once fixed, it won't move.

In this way, the sagging part is hooked onto the firm ligament tissue
pointed out in the photo, and this method is what a thread lift is.
โ
So what is the important part?
If inserted too shallowly, it will all pinch,
and if inserted too deeply, it is meaningless.
โ
Because the thread would just go under the fat and pull it..
If these barbed cones do not go in too deeply
and appropriately enter the SMAS layer,
you can think of it as biting and pulling the surrounding tissues.
โ
And until this thread melts and disappears,
the strength is maintained,
and while the thread is inside,
collagen is also formed to some extent,
so you can consider that adhesion progresses to some degree from that as well.
โ
When doing a thread lift,
we don't insert just one thread.
โ
You can expect at least 3 to 4 threads to go into one side usually,
and when pulling up the fat in the front cheekbone from above
and the fat in the lower nasolabial folds,
โ
at least 2 to 3 threads
of PDO threads are basically inserted.

Because the threads used in thread lifting are truly diverse in type,
we use them appropriately according to the patient's skin sagging condition.

I think it is best to find a plastic surgery head doctor
who can use the appropriate threads for the appropriate face.
โ
As we use them, some people respond well to this thread,
some respond well to that thread, and there can be subtle differences.
โ
So you can think of it as finding and using those threads appropriately.
