The bone itself does not grow back. However, there are rare cases where significant scar tissue forms in that area, making it look as though the hump has returned.
Additionally, it may look fine while there is swelling, but as the swelling subsides, it might become apparent that the hump was not shaved down enough.
Lastly, if a portion of the hump was left and the surrounding area was filled with dermis or other tissues, the remaining hump may become visible again if those tissues are absorbed by the body.
