Hello~
💎your beauty universe! This is Dr. Shim Jeong-hwan from Weverse Plastic Surgery :)💎

Today, I would like to review a case of Dermal Adhesion (Natural Adhesion) Double Eyelid and Corner Canthoplasty.

First, let's analyze the issue by looking at the patient's pre-operative photos.

Before Surgery

The patient previously used double eyelid tape, which caused some skin sagging.
The existing line was faint, and the double eyelid line would appear and disappear,
changing from day to day.

The patient wanted to raise the double eyelid line slightly higher than it was
and achieve a more open, refreshing eye shape through horizontal length extension.
Diagnosis and Surgical Method

To create a natural-looking line for the patient,
we designed the line using Dermal Adhesion (Natural Adhesion) Double Eyelid surgery,
and performed Corner Canthoplasty (Lateral Canthoplasty) to extend the horizontal length.
Although the patient's eyelashes didn't poke her eyes, there was some inward curling, so we
opened the corners naturally.
1 Week After Surgery

Looking at the photos from 1 week after surgery, there is still a little swelling.
If you look closely at the outer corners, the scars are slightly visible, but because they were opened naturally, they are not very noticeable.
The double eyelid line is larger than before, making the eyes look more open and refreshing,
and the Corner Canthoplasty (Lateral Canthoplasty) opened up the back of the eyes, giving a wider appearance.
1 Month After Surgery

Compared to week 1, the swelling has subsided significantly, looking much more natural.
The Corner Canthoplasty scars are still slightly visible upon close inspection, but they are continuously improving,
and are expected to fade even more as time passes.
In this post, we reviewed a case of Natural Adhesion (Dermal Adhesion) and Corner Canthoplasty.
We will continue to provide more detailed information through various case reviews in the future.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment and we will reply.

Frequently Asked Questions
In what cases is Dermal Adhesion Double Eyelid Surgery suitable?
Yes, it is suitable for cases where there is skin sagging due to double eyelid tape use or an irregular line. Through the dermal adhesion (natural adhesion) method, you can create natural and clear double eyelids by slightly raising the existing faint line.
What are the effects of Corner Incision Surgery?
Yes, the biggest effect is extending the horizontal length of the eyes to create a refreshed eye shape. It is performed in the same way as lateral canthoplasty and also helps to naturally improve cases of eyelash curling.
What is the extent of swelling and scarring 1 week after surgery?
Typically, at 1 week, there may be some residual swelling and a scar visible in the lateral canthoplasty area. However, since the incision is made naturally, the scar is not severely noticeable, and you can see that your eyes look much more refreshed than before.
When do scars disappear after Corner Incision Surgery?
They gradually fade over time and significantly improve starting from 1 month. At 1 month, scars may be visible upon close inspection, but as the swelling subsides and recovery progresses, they become increasingly less noticeable and more natural.
