Today, I would like to review a natural adhesion revision surgery case.

Before Surgery

This patient is a female in her 20s who previously had non-incisional double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty.

About 2 to 3 weeks ago, she had an allergic reaction in her eyes, causing her right double eyelid to loosen. While correcting this,

she wanted to make the double eyelid line a bit higher than the previous one.

In many cases where the skin is thick, the incisional method is required. However, for this patient,

because her skin is thin and she does not have much fat, I determined that raising the line slightly could be done using the non-incisional method.

Consultation and Surgical Method

For this patient, we raised the double eyelid line by about 2mm using the natural adhesion (dermal adhesion) burial method,

and designed a semi-out line that looks more natural and refreshing than before.

1 Month After Surgery

Looking at the photo taken 1 month after surgery,

because we created a semi-out line, the line is fully visible from the front to the back, unlike before surgery.

This gives the impression of a significantly larger line and makes the eyes look much more open and refreshing.

My double eyelids have loosened. Is non-incisional revision surgery possible?

Yes, it is possible depending on the patient's eye condition. If the skin is thin and there is little fat on the eyelids, as in the case described, revision surgery can be sufficiently performed with only the natural adhesion (dermal adhesion) buried method, without going through an incisional surgical method.

Can I design a double eyelid line higher than the existing one?

Yes, it is possible. If the conditions such as skin thickness and fat amount are met, the design can be changed to a more refreshing semi-outline, about 2mm higher than the existing line, even with the non-incisional natural adhesion buried method.

Can allergic reactions cause double eyelids to loosen?

Yes, that's correct. As in the case of the 20-year-old female patient described, an allergic reaction in the eyes can cause the previously created non-incisional double eyelid line to loosen, and in this case, correction through revision surgery is necessary.

What are the results of a semi-outline after natural adhesion revision surgery?

After surgery, the line is clearly visible from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. Looking at the progress one month after surgery, you can expect the line to become significantly larger than before, making the overall eye shape more refreshing and natural.
