How to Block UV Rays in the Summer ☀

Hello~

Your beauty universe! This is Weverse Plastic Surgery :)

Lately, the weather has been getting much hotter,

and naturally, the amount of time spent exposed to sunlight is increasing.

Among the various wavelengths of light emitted by the sun, the one that primarily affects the skin

is ultraviolet (UV) rays. Because they are invisible, many people don't realize how they affect the skin,

so it seems many people pay less attention to them than they should.

Therefore, we have prepared some time today to learn about the importance of UV protection and how to do it!

Why is UV protection important?

When exposed to UV rays, the skin becomes rough, loses elasticity,

and develops melasma, freckles, and blemishes.

Additionally, prolonged and excessive exposure to UV rays can cause deep wrinkles to form.

Because UV rays are strongest between 11 AM and 2 PM,

it is best to reduce outdoor activities during these peak hours.

Then, to block UV rays in our daily lives,

shall we find out what we need to do?

How should we block UV rays?

Apply sunscreen to block UV rays!

Squeezing out an amount the size of a 500-won coin and applying it 30 minutes before going out

can be considered the most effective method.

When choosing a sunscreen, check the PA and SPF protection grades before purchasing,

and for general summer outdoor activities, using a product with PA++ or higher and SPF 30 to 50

is highly recommended.

Use a hat or a parasol!

If your scalp is exposed to UV rays for a long time, it can get sunburned,

so if you are doing outdoor activities for an extended period,

it is a good idea to use a hat or a parasol to protect your scalp.

Wear sunglasses!

The eyes are vulnerable to UV rays and can suffer burns just like the skin.

Those who have undergone vision correction surgeries like LASIK or LASEK need to pay even more attention to UV protection,

and since cataracts, which cause clouding of the lens, are known to be highly related to UV rays,

it is best to choose products that offer 100% UV protection.

Today, we learned about the importance of UV protection and how to do it with us here at Weverse!

We will be back next time with plenty of fruitful information :) ❤
